PALM Residence

The Palm family shared a clear vision for a super energy efficient modern barn style home with simple lines and understated exterior trim details. Erica Palm worked with Winterhaven Custom Builders to collaboratively design and detail every aspect of the fully custom interior.

The home features a fabulous blend of distressed wood beams, aged barn boards, modern fixtures and large format tile to create an incredibly inviting and diverse set of interior spaces. A waterfall style kitchen island is the centerpiece of the gathering space on the main floor and joins seamlessly to the cozy living room and balances the monolithic stone fireplace at the far end of the home.

Reclaimed white oak stairs, built by Wentworth Woodworking, feature welded steel railing inserts and hand hammered steel newel post caps. The beautifully designed tile showers in every bathroom are balanced with site-built rustic wood vanities or reclaimed wood wall panels. The warm toned wood floors, painted doors and off white wall surfaces provide the perfect backdrop to showcase the home’s stunning interior features.
